Fight Without Lifting a Finger

We are living in an ever-dynamic world that is continuously transforming. Your string-of-existence comprises of a series of emotions and states of being that create a formula within yourself that is beyond computation. This formula consists of ideas, thoughts that are running inside your mind this very moment and the stored memory of your fruits of action.

The only way your string-of-existence can be summarized is this: infinite.

Have you ever thought about where your happiness comes from? Have you dug deep into understanding where your sorrow comes from? Where does the foundation of anger get constructed?

The premise behind this formula is that regardless of any change to any state of emotion or immaterial/material object that may occur, the object remains as is. Whether you cut up the object into many pieces or keep as one, the object remains as is.

I know what I may be saying is a bit woo-woo but just hear me out. Could the very source of your joy be your sorrow? Likewise, could the very source of your sorry be your joy? Can the source of anger be your peace? Can peace be obtained only by expressing anger?

Let’s take some other ideas. If you lost something tomorrow, could that be a gain. If you gained something, could that be a loss for someone? Is it possible to gain peace, and lose violence? Do we need to be violent in order to learn peace?

Can anything really be changed and transformed?

If you look at all of these examples, they are connected. Whether you change the properties of any object, the object will still remain the object. Even water evaporated is still something and it may be transformed to air but it is still water. The only thing that may be true is that cause and effect are the same in the world.

This may be a difficult thing to comprehend but here is my point – we may be continuously changing, but we are who we are and will always be who we are – timeless, stateless, non-violent beings at our core. Any pain-body that enters our system will always be temporary. All things whether it is human or any other objects goes back to its basic composition that is the same in all of us.

The only thing that is really true is that peace is our calling. The root of peace will never be behavior or emotions that are non-violent. We may have pain-bodies (e.g., stress, anger, anxiety) within us but it is the transformation of those pain-bodies to non-pain bodies (e.g, joy, happiness, bliss, etc.) that will increase our peace.

The things are a happening to us are all games that are being played in our heads. We are being taken for a ride through acts of rage, anger, depression, and anxiety. The fight we are raising through violence is just an illusion. We let the emotions take us over. We create layers of boundaries within us that prevent us from discovering our real selves.

If we are all the same, what are we accomplishing by lifting a finger to kill someone just because we are angry or frustrated in life? Answer: nothing.

Can peace be sustained? Of course! The transformation of pain to joy is the art of living we all must practice – and being able to sustain peace within ourselves despite any circumstance or situation we are in.

Yes, we are going to get angry because we are human, but why are we ruining our lives by firing guns or stabbing others? If you want to learn to fight, fight without lifting a finger. Here is how you do it:

  • Make an effort to accept all beings in life. Love everyone despite any ill-action they take toward you. You have nothing to gain from this act other than extreme happiness.
  • Let others have power. Power only works within prescribed boundaries that are destined to disappear anyways. Look at history – all the greatest empires have fallen over time.
  • Walk away from other people’s anger. All states of emotions are temporary. Refuse to take part in any company where anger is present. Fueling the fire of others just sets you up to get burned.
  • Control your reactions to events. Remember it is the environment you are in that is making you mad inside. We can dive deep in to the underlying reasons but it is your reaction to the environment that is giving you pain. This only thing you can do is change the way you react to situations and events.
  • Accept some physical blows. I have been hit and even spit on. I know it sucks and it is demeaning as a human being to bear this pain, but sometimes the only way to knock someone out is to accept some pain. The formula is that physical action, if accepted, brings man down to his knees. I am not saying accept all pain. It may be necessary to stand and fight for your right or self-defense based on the circumstance but I will let you be your own judge.
  • Avoid screaming on top of an already screaming voice. This creates nothing but noise pollution – avoid this – you don’t solve anything. Let the other person vent as necessary. Just listen but don’t take any of the pain enter your system. The other person is talking about the past which is irrelevant – the only time is now and talking about the past and what he/she should have done to make life better is pointless chatter.
  • The only way to win is to come to middle ground by talking calmly. Talking peacefully is the only way to create a positive environment for all parties. Talking is the path that may be longest way to peace but keeping dialogue opens the way to resolve serious matters quickly.
